Lincoln and his daddy love playing together when dad gets home from work everyday. They play airplane and entertain each other while I cook dinner. We are trying to get Lincoln to go to bed a little earlier, but he usually stays up until nine or ten. Thats really fine by me, because he doesn't get up until 8 or 9 most mornings!

Lincoln is such an active baby these days! He has started to play more and more and even laughing and squealing!!!
Today was a rough day for us both though. Lincoln, Aunt Jamie, and I went to his 2 month doctor appointment. He weighs 12.9 lbs and is 24 1/4 inches long. The doc said he is going to be tall! The doctor also said he has started to teethe which explains all the drooling and sucking on his fists.
Link had to get 3 shots which made us both cry. The first 2 were pretty bad, but the last one was the worst! He was holding my finger and when they stuck him with the needle his bottom lip poked out and tears filled his eyes and he starting wailing! He cried for all 3, but the last shot was a different cry that broke my heart and made me cry too.
Hope everyone has a good week!

We had a wonderful first Christmas together as a family. It was a busy day! We woke up early and went to Mimi and Papa's house for breakfast and to see what Santa brought us. Lincoln must have been a very good boy this year, because he racked up!
Lincoln stayed awake for the present opening. He wasn't very interested of course, but he was awake and that's all that mattered to me! After the morning festivities we came home and took a well needed nap.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Happy New Year!!!

70 degree Winter
Lincoln and I have been keeping busy the past few weeks with Christmas decorating and shopping. We even went to see Santa! That was a day in itself! We first went to see the Mall Santa and after waiting 30 mins for him to get back from his lunch break we discovered he was the Beach Bum Santa (dressed in a hawaiian shirt, swim trunks, and sneakers). So, we went on the hunt for the real Santa! Finally we found him at Pier Park at the beach of all places. Unfortunately by that time Lincoln was fast asleep.
Lincoln is getting so big now and developing a great personality. He is starting to smile at people (and the ceiling fans) a lot now. I am loving watching him change everyday!
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!!

Turkey Turkey
We had a great Thanksgiving this year! Our 4 1/2 hour drive turned into a bit longer trip, since we had to stop twice for Lincoln's feedings (and we got turned around a few times). We were so glad to finally make it! Lincoln was able to meet a lot of my family and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Lincoln also got to see his first goat while we walked by the new pond at Aunt Belle's house. Overall it was a great day and a great trip.
Happy Football Day everyone! ROLL TIDE

Lincoln had his 2nd Doctor's Appointment on Monday. He has grown so much! He weighs 8.11 lbs and is 21.25 in long. He checked out good!
Lincoln is 3 weeks old today and we will be making our first big trip with him. We are going to Aunt Belle's for Thanksgiving dinner. It is a 4 1/2 hour drive, so I am sure we will be making lots of stops. :)

Lincoln is almost 2 weeks old now and has adjusted great to being home. He is sleeping better during the night, up to three hours at a time (well most nights anyway).
Lincoln has already been on a few outings with me and his Aunt Jamie. The car rides put him to sleep so going places with him so far has been pretty easy.
Lincoln also has already had a couple of baths. So far, he doesn't enjoy them. Hopefully that will change soon though!
